Liftr Interviews VP of Engineering on Astral Images' Move to the Cloud

Astral Images recently enlisted a local cloud services broker to help transition a portion of its data onto the cloud.
“With a single movie title requiring anywhere from 15 to 50 terabytes of storage to process, transitioning our data to the cloud means that we’ll be able to continue handling large volumes of work while maintaining competitive pricing,” said Wayne Galella, VP of Engineering at Astral Images.
"The cloud gives us the flexibility to augment our on-prem compute and storage resources by scaling up as needed in response to customer demand."

Astral Images respects the wishes of film studios and individual content owners – the use of cloud storage is optional for any project.
